Summer Fun

We had a very fun and adventurous summer and as it comes to a close I thought I would share some of the exciting times that we have had. Tyce did many "new" things that were exciting. We have decided he is an adrenaline junky! He loves jet skiing, quad riding, swimming and horseback riding.
At the beginning of the summer we went across the state to our friends' ranch outside of Wells, Nevada where we relaxed, fished and played with the horses. Tyce even sat on the horse and was very excited to give the horse kisses. It was still a bit cold so we didn't get to do as much as we would have like, but as always we had a blast.

We have also been jet skiing on Topaz Lake. Mimi (Grandma Hubbard) went with us and Tyce waved at all the people on shore, which was so funny. He thought every one was there to watch him. The most entertaining part was watching Tyce walk in the water because he couldn't see his feet so he kept pulling his leg up high to try and walk on the water. He wasn't so sure about that and when the life jacket flipped him on his back because he couldn't reach anymore - he got very mad! All in all, it was a great day and Tyce kept saying "more, more!"

In July, Tyce and I flew to Michigan with Mimi and Gramps. He loved flying on the plane and we got to see all of our "Hubbard family". Tyce met his great grandparents, Aunts, uncles, cousins and second cousins. It was a fabulous trip and we hope to go back soon.

Our friend Mallory invited us over to go swimming in her mom's new pool, which was so fun. Tyce had no fear and jumped right in and got a quick lesson that he had to wait for us because he can't touch the bottom... he went under water but his dad was right there to catch him. It took him a little to warm up after that, but then he had so much fun we couldn't get him out.

One of our favorite things to do during the warm weather is to go to the park! Tyce loves playing on the big kid equipment, never mind the fact that there is age appropriate equipment to play on. He loves going on the slide, swinging and running!

Tyce's First Camping Trip

We just arrived home from our first "family" camping trip with Tyce. He had a blast and boy is he dirty! He got to see a lot of "wild" deer... they are so "wild" they walk right up to you to be fed and pet, but they live in the wild, so there ya go. He also got to eat roasted marshmellows - that was nice and sticky! He played in the river, played with the fish that dad caught and helped us put up and take down the tent. Grammy and Pop went with us and Tyce and I slept in the camper with Grammy and Pop and Dust slept in the tent. It was very cold at night but he slept with me so we tried to keep each other warm. On the trip home we stopped at Mimi and Gramp's house, but they weren't there so we went into their new trailer to take a little look. It is beautiful and big enough for Tyce to go on trips with them...

Tyce started crying when we had to go but we are all looking forward to many more camping trips in the future.

Just getting started!

Well, one of our friends told us about this website, so we thought we would give a try. Hopefully I will be able to keep up with posting new pictures so that we can share our family fun with all of you!

Tyce is growing like crazy. He is all boy - climbing, jumping and into EVERYTHING! He is very inquisitive and quite hard-headed (I'm not sure where he gets that from!). He loves to be outside so today he was helping us clear the rocks on the out-skirts of our yard until that wasn't interesting anymore (about 2 minutes into the work). He then went and played on the quad which he calls a "bike". He sits on it and says "vroom" and pretends to drive because he has a small version of a quad that he got for his first birthday that he drives everywhere (normally in the standing position). My mom says he's practicing for the X-Games - of course I think that is a HORRIBLE idea.
